THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Wednesday, December 12, 2007.

Pauline Dorothy Brisbin, 94, of Story City and formerly of Ames, died Saturday, Dec. 8, at Bethany Manor in Story City. Per her request, there will be no local services. Burial of the cremains will be in Highland Park Cemetery in Pittsburg, Kan.

Pauline Dorothy Brisbin was born Feb. 9, 1913, in Colo, to Luke and Dorothea (Nelson) O'Donnell. She was raised in the Colo area and attended school there. She attended the Catholic Church in Zearing with her family. She also attended Business College in Marshalltown.

She married William Mills Brisbin Aug. 31, 1945, in Dubuque. Her husband retired from his ad agency in Des Moines in 1972, and they moved to Horseshoe Bend, Ark. He died May 18, 1984, in Horseshoe Bend. She moved to Sedalia, Mo., for eight years and resided in Ames since 2003. She was an avid golfer and Chicago Cubs fan. She also enjoyed bowling and playing bridge.

Pauline is survived by one sister, Ann Buffington, of Colo; one step-grandson, David Brisbin; one step-granddaughter, Barbara Van Dusen; three step-great-grandchildren, Caitlyn, Megan and Sean Mills Brisbin; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Alice Boller and Irene Huhn; one brother, F. P. O'Donnell; and her stepson, Richard Brisbin.

Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada is in charge of arrangements.
