Albert P. Donhowe, 85, of Story City, died Monday, Nov. 5, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Memorial services are pending with Soderstrum Funeral Home.

Albert P. Donhowe, 85, died Monday, Nov. 5, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Memorial services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at St. Petri Lutheran Church in Story City. Burial of cremains will be at 11 a.m. in Story City Cemetery.

Albert P. Donhowe was born March 3, 1922, in Story City, to Peter and Olive (Marvick) Donhowe. He was a meat cutter and retired from Iowa State University. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He is survived by one brother, Herbert Donhowe, of Fayetteville, Ark.; one sister-in-law, Ann Lou Donhowe, of San Antonio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Laurentia Irwin; and four brothers, Joseph, Charles, Paul and David.

Memorials may be made to St. Petri Lutheran Church or Cedar Place.

Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City is in charge of arrangements.
