Donna Cramer, 78, of Ames, died Monday, Sept. 17, at Mary Greeley Medical Center. Services are pending with Stevens Memorial Chapel of Ames.

Donna J. Cramer, 78, of Ames, died Monday, Sept. 17, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Sac City.

Donna Cramer was born Sept. 24, 1928, in Calhoun County, to Peter and Vera (Lane) Cramer. She completed eighth grade at Sacred Heart School in Templeton and graduated from Manning High School-St. Angela's Academy in Carroll in 1946. After serving in the Women's Air Corp from 1949-51 during the Korean conflict, she moved to California where she attended San Jose State College for two years.

In 1964, she moved to Cuiaba Mato Grosso, Brazil, where she was a co-owner of a ranch. After moving back to California in 1971, she established an accounting business in Gilroy, Calif. During the 1980s and early 1990s, she became involved in the National Business and Professional Women's organization serving as Peninsula District President 1986-87 and as administrative assistant to the California BPW state president. She moved to Ames in 1993, and soon was hired as an accountant for Oakwood Road Church, BILD in Ames.

She is survived by her godson, Jimmy Lemos, of Gilroy, Calif., aunts, uncles, cousins, and a very large extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
