NEVADA JOURNAL, Nevada, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, September 7, 2007.

Eva Ann Raske, 75 of Nevada died on Sunday, September 2, 2007 at Rolling Green Village in Nevada. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 6 at the First Christian Church in Nevada with Pastor Brice Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery.

Eva was born on April 24, 1932 in Iowa Falls to Albert and Dora (Tjarks) Silvest. She was a graduate of Iowa Falls High School. On August 31, 1947, Eva married Lyle C. Raske in Iowa Falls. She had been employed as an L.P.N. in nursing homes in Iowa Falls and Eldora. Eva and Lyle also had served as the managers at the Meadows in Nevada. She was a member of the First Christian Church. Eva enjoyed making custard pies.

Eva is survived by a son, Cecil Raske of Radcliffe; 2 daughters, Karon Ward of Nevada and Marvella Martin of Madrid; a daughter-in-law, Teri Raske of Nevada; a sister Dorothy Bates of Iowa Falls; 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lyle on May 26, 1995, a granddaughter Wendy on January 8, 1994, a son Ray Raske on December 27, 2005, a son-in-law Allen Martin on May 31, 2006, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

A memorial fund has been established. Chet Ryan Mortuary was entrusted with arrangements.
