COLLINS - Donna V. Ose, 91, of Collins, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007 at Story County Long Term Care in Nevada.

Donna was born August 23, 1915, in Jasper County, Iowa, the daughter of Donald Simpson and Vera Estella (Eatwell) Huntrods. She was united in marriage to Lt. Keith Truman Ose on June 13, 1943 at Ft. McClellan, Alabama. He preceded Donna in death November 22, 1944. Donna was a school teacher and had taught at Rhodes, Zearing, Grundy Center and Collins. She had also earned a degree in mountaineering from Boulder, Colo. She was a member of the Collins United Methodist Church.

Donna is survived by a sister, Lucille White of Nevada, IA; and 3 brothers, William "Bill" Huntrods of Collins, IA, Roger Huntrods of Collins, IA, and Donald Huntrods of St. Charles, IA.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and 4 sisters, Iris Lawson, Mary Lee Huntrods, Margaret Struthers and Myrl Lauffer.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 28, 2007, at the Collins United Methodist Church. Interment was in the Collins Evergreen Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Story County Long Term Care.
