Lois B. Larson, 72, of Roland died Friday, Aug. 18, 2006 at her home. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, at Salem Lutheran Church in Roland. Burial was in the Roland Cemetery.

Lois was born July 14, 1934 'to Clarence and Clara (Caltvedt) Woster in McCallsburg, Iowa. She married Max H. Larson on Dec. 19, 1953 at Salem Lutheran Church in Roland.

Lois was a homemaker and active member of Salem Lutheran Church. She graduated from McCallsburg High School in 1952 and earned a medical lab technician degree in Minneapolis, and then worked as a Lab Tech in Des Moines and Chicago the following year. She moved to Roland upon her marriage in December 1953.

Lois enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, visiting friends and relatives, and most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Max, of Roland; two sons, Loren (Janet) Larson, of Roland, and Paul (Lori) Larson, of Minneapolis, Minnesota; one daughter, Ann (Robert) Stensrud, of Johnston; eight grandchildren, Riley, Kayla and Annie Larson, Lauren and Ben Stensrud, Nick, Justin and Ryan Larson; three brothers, Virgil (Shirley) Woster of McCallsburg, Marion (Bernetta) Woster of Ames, and Carroll (Connie) Woster of McCallsburg; and one sister-in-law, Edell Woster, of McCallsburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clara and Clarence Woster, and one brother, Gordon.
