Patricia Kay Bjorklund, 60, of Goldfield, died Thursday, July 26, at Wright Medical Center in Clarion. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, at the Lake Lutheran Church in rural Goldfield, with Pastor Truman Larson officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, at the Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Pat's wishes were to be cremated.
Patricia Kay Bjorklund was born Oct. 27, 1946, in Sylvan, Wis., the daughter of Mervin and Norma (Chesebro) Dobbs. She moved with her family to the Renwick area and received her education in the Boone Valley Schools.
She married Arnold Bjorklund Oct. 30, 1964, at the United Methodist Church in Renwick. The couple made their home in Renwick for 27 years and moved to rural Goldfield in 1990.
She worked for the Boone Valley Schools as a teacher's aide, Eagle Grove Eagle, Wright County Public Health, Gold Eagle Coop and was part owner of the Honey Barn Quilt Shop in Goldfield.
She was a member of Lake Lutheran Church in rural Goldfield and served as church secretary. She was also a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and former member of the Boone Valley Community Chorus.
Survivors include her husband, Arnie Bjorklund, of Goldfield; son, Everett Bjorklund and wife April, of Wisconsin; dear as a daughter, Jorunn Eide and family, of Flatoy, Norway; eight grandchildren, Brandon, Dylan, Cody, Josh, Jessica, Ashley, Tara and Allix; one great-grandchild, Draeven; parents, Mervin and Norma Dobbs, of Zearing; brothers, Mike Dobbs and wife Kathy, of Ames, and Dean Dobbs, of Zearing; sister, Deanne Stansbery and husband Wayne, of Zearing; sisters-in-law, Edna Dobbs Skjordal, Diane Dobbs and Annabel Dobbs; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, James Bjorklund; and three brothers, Charles, Richard and Terry Dobbs.
Memorial contributions may be left to the discretion of the family.
