THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Tuesday, June 26, 2007.

Warren G. Ahrens Sr., 85, of Boone, died Monday, June 25. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 28, at Central Christian Church of Boone. Burial will be in Boone Memorial Gardens of Boone, with full military honors conducted at graveside by the Boone Veterans Council. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, June 27, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at Schroeder-Walter Funeral Home, Fifth and Story streets of Boone. Visitation will continue from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday, June 28, at the funeral home, and then from noon until the time of service at the church.

Memorials may be made to the family to be used at its discretion.

Schroeder-Walter Funeral Home, Fifth and Story streets of Boone, is in charge of arrangements.
