April 6, 1983-May 31, 2007

Lisa Rose Pille Gaiser, 24, of Janesville, Wis., died instantly May 31 in a single-car accident in La Porte, Ind. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Ames. She will be laid to rest in Story Memorial Gardens in Ames.

Lisa Rose Pille Gaiser was born April 6, 1983, in Ames. She lived in Ames until she was 9 and then moved to Greenfield. She lived there until 2001. She was briefly married to Trent Gaiser.

She was active in 4H and charity projects and enjoyed nature, animals and wildlife. She won awards in academics, art and public speaking, and attended Southwestern Community College from the age of 15 to 18. She was baptized and confirmed in St. John's Catholic Church in Greenfield at 16. She also instructed tae kwon do classes, tutored people with disabilities and always looked for the gifts in everyone she knew. She was committed to justice and peace and always was ready to defend those in need.

She is survived by her mother, Teresa Marie Pille, of Greenfield; her father, Michael Dean Clark, of Yankton, S.D.; one half-brother, Matthew "Dale" Clark, of West Pueblo, Colo.; uncles and aunts, Alan and Louise Henderson, of Ames, John and Mary Pille, of Bondurant, Larry and Linda Marsh, of Belleview, Neb., Karen Fournier, of Cottage Grove, Minn., Doug and Christine Pille, of Frisco, Texas, Chuck and Jodi Pille, of Ames, David and Susan Pille, of Des Moines, Kirk Clark, of Onawa, and Cynthia Pitts, of Salix; cousins, Cesar and Teresa Henderson Verdin, of Richmond, Ind., Chris and Amy Clevenger, of Denver, Colo., Jeremy and Jennifer Pille, of Des Moines, Ruben and Sue Osorio, of Ames, Jon and Niki Vansice, of Anacortes, Wash., Geoffrey Fournier, of Cottage Grove, Minn., Patrick Fournier, of Cottage Grove, Minn., Jennifer Pille, of Glen Burnie, Md., and Logan Pille, of Frisco, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Virgil and Dorothy Pille; her paternal grandparents, Shirley Hofling and Earl William Clark; and an uncle, Robert Clark.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 tonight at Stevens Memorial Chapel.
