DeAnn Kay Potter, 42, of Hubbard died Saturday, April 21, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

DeAnn was born March 17, 1965 in Nevada, Iowa, the daughter of Louis and Geraldine (Lunde) Melton. She was united in marriage to John Potter on June 18, 1983 at the First Christian Church in Nevada. DeAnn was a homemaker who loved her family, 2 grandchildren, camping, shopping, watching movies, playing practical jokes and caring for her pets.

She is survived by her husband, John, of Hubbard, IA; her son, Timothy of home; her daughter: Tasha Kay Potter of Hubbard, IA; 2 grandchildren: Destiny Robertta Potter and Zoey Marie Potter; her father: Louis Melton of Hubbard, IA; her mother, Geraldine Melton of Nevada, IA; a brother: Dennis (Bonnie) Melton of Collins, IA; and 2 sisters: Deb (Rob) Hardy of Ames, IA, and Darla (Gary) Ingham of Nevada, IA.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; and her parents-in-law: Bob and Karen Potter.

Funeral services will be 1:30 PM Thursday at the Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada. Burial will be in the Woodland Cemetery in Iowa Center.

Visitation was held Wednesday at the Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada.

Memorials may be made to the DeAnn Kay Potter Memorial Fund.
