28 January 1903, page 5, column 3Justice S. Richmond died at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. F. P. Youngblood, in Marshalltown, Januare (sic) 12, at the ripe age of eighty-seven. Mr. Richmond was a native of Schoharie county, N. Y.; lived in Illinois some years, during which period his wife died; came to Story county in 1868 and bought a large farm in Collins township on which he lived for a quarter of a century. The Willow Creek school house, the first one built in Collins township, was located on his farm.
