June 11, 1918-April 3, 2007

Farris Delanie Hogg, 88, of Cambridge, died Tuesday, April 3, at Mary Greeley Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 9, at Faith Baptist Church in Cambridge with Pastor John Hartog III officiating. Burial will be at noon Tuesday, April 10, in Lone Pine Cemetery near Unionville, Mo.

Farris Delanie Hogg was born June 11, 1918, in Putnam County, Mo., to William Thomas and Nellie Louise (Collins) Hogg. He married Letha Mae Kelley Dec. 1, 1940, in Worthington, Mo. He was a meatpacker for Morrell in Ottumwa for more than 25 years before retiring in 1973.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 66 years, Letha Hogg, of Cambridge; three daughters, Evelyn (Stephen) Stilwell, of Trujillo, Peru, Phyllis (Richard) Scott, of Cambridge, and Wanda (Andrew) Barnes, of Corsica, France; 10 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Carmineita Shelton.

Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 7, at Soderstrum-Riis Funeral Home in Slater.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Baptist Mid-Missions for Bible institutes in Peru and France, P O Box 308011, Cleveland, OH 44130-8011.
