BELMOND, IOWA - Beverly A. Boyd, age 75, of Belmond, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at the Heartland Regional Medical Center in St Joseph, MO.

Funeral services for Beverly A. Boyd were held Saturday, March 31, 2007 at the Dayspring Assembly of God in Belmond, with Pastor Mark Pluff officiating. Burial was at the Belmond Cemetery.

Visitations for Bev Boyd were held Friday, March 30, 2007 at Dugger Ewing Funeral Home, 111 Luick's Lane South in Belmond, Iowa and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
Beverly Anne, the daughter of Arlo and Bessie Larson McAtee was born June 30, 1931 in Nevada, Iowa. She grew up in the McCallsburg area where she attended country schools. Beverly was united in marriage to Walter A. Boyd November 3, 1948, in Nevada. The couple made their home in Story City and eventually moved to Belmond where Beverly and Walt raised their family. Besides being a housewife and mother, Bev also drove a school bus for the disabled for 16 years.

Bev enjoyed watching T.V., especially sports and QVC. She also liked bowling, cards, gardening, crafts, sewing, and coffee with friends. Bev's treasures though were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bev is fondly remembered for the way she cared for small animals: foxes, raccoons, etc. She belonged to the Belmond VFW Auxiliary, held offices in the bowling leagues, belonged to the Birthday Club and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Bev is survived by her children, Peg Fosnaugh and David of Oak Harbor, WA; Rex and wife, Nell of Belmond; Bon Anne Hill and husband, Walt of St Joseph, MO: grandchildren, Kelli Jo and Rick Terril of Oak Harbor, WA; Terri Jo and Wallace Forslof of Arlington, WA; Jasmine and Craig Nelson of Sheffield; Emily Boyd of Waterloo; Garrett Boyd and special friend Maranda Depew of Belmond; Rondi Poppe of St Joseph, MO; Rob and Emily Lamfers-Hill of Belmond: sisters, Velletta and Gene Pousch of Nevada; Jeanne and Darrell Starbuck of Ames; Nancy and Kurt Haas of Eldora; Judy Rasmussen of Grand Island, NE; and numerous other nieces, nephew, relative and friends.

Bev is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Walt; son, Terry; brother, Darrell and grandchild, Matthew.
