April 23, 1928-March 19, 2007

Walter "Alex" Barrie, 78, of Ames, died Monday, March 19, at Mary Greeley Medical Center. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 24, at Adams Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

He is survived by his sister, Ruth Grabau, of Ames; several nieces and nephews; and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arch and Cora Barrie; three brothers, Roscoe, John and David; and one sister, Marie Tyler.
