Edith L. Fiscus Rogers, 82, of Ames, died Thursday, Dec. 14. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 18, at First United Methodist Church in Ames.

A visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames.

Edith L. Fiscus Rogers, 82, of Ames, died Wednesday, Dec. 14, at the Israel Family Hospice House. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 18, at First United Methodist Church in Ames. Burial will follow at Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Edith L. Fiscus Rogers was born March 31, 1924, in Audubon County, to Raymond and Mary (Koenig) Merk. She graduated from Westmar College and taught elementary school in Kirkman, where she met and later married Russel P. Fiscus Dec. 25, 1946. They spent a short time in Fort Dodge and then moved to Ames where they raised four children. Russel died Dec. 27, 1964. She married Harold Davis Nov. 7, 1975. He preceded her in death Dec. 17, 1985. She married G. Gress Rogers May 20, 1989.

She was a homemaker, worked at the Methodist Minister's Credit Union and then worked as an administrative assistant at the First United Methodist Church in Ames for 22 years. She loved gardening and was active with her church, Cub and Boy Scout leadership and the hospice program.

She is survived by her husband, G. Gress Rogers, of Ames; daughter, Linda (Fred) Vogtlin, of Ames; sons, Ron (Kathy) Fiscus, of Minneapolis, Randy (Lori) Fiscus, of Nevada, and Mark Fiscus, of Bloomington, Ill.; grandchildren, Jeff (Jenny) Vogtlin, Paul Vogtlin, Kristi Wigent, Matt Fiscus, Brian (Christine) Fiscus, Amy Fiscus and her fiancé Jason Keiser, Brandon Fiscus, Ryan Fiscus and Nichole Fiscus; two great-grandchildren, Abby and Caleb Vogtlin; brothers, Norman (Venita) Merk, LeRoy (Sharlene) Merk and Don (Linda) Merk, all of Audubon; brother-in-law, Gerald Fiscus, of Laguna Woods, Calif.; and nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006. at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames.

Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church or Mary Greeley Hospice.
