Ferrell Don Nelson, son of Mr and Mrs C. B. Nelson was born in Ames, Iowa February 7th, 1906. At birth the child was inflicted with a spinal disease which was pronounced incurable and during its short life it grew dearer to all on account of the helpless condition. About two weeks ago the child contracted what was thought to be whooping cough and Sunday morning the parents arose to find that the spirit of the child had departed suddenly during the dark long hours of the night. The funeral services were conducted from the home on Boone Street Monday afternoon at 2 p.m.
