Ruth Frances Mayme Spencer

Ruth Frances Mayme Spencer died on Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at the Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Zearing, Iowa. Frances was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on February 1, 1927 to Walter and Minnie Frink. On November 30, 1945 in Kansas City, Kansas, Frances married Herbert C. Spencer, who together they raised three children.

Frances worked at Collegiate Pacific before working at the Mary Greeley Medical Center as a seamstress where she retired. Her passion was in quilting and raising flowers.

Frances was proceeded in death by her parents, Walter and Minnie Frink; her brother, William; two sisters, Georgia and Mary; her husband of 50 years Herbert; and their daughter; Joyce Ott.

Frances is survived by two sons, Jessie (Loraine) of Casper, Wyoming and Jerry (Doreen) of Ames; seven grandchildren, Laura, Damon, Jerry M., Kathy, Jeff, Derrick, and Danielle; and eleven great-grandchildren.
