March 2, 1940-Nov. 7, 2006

Charles Archie MacKay, of Ames and formerly of Eagle Grove, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, in Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove.

He was born March 2, 1940, in Waterloo, the son of Archie and Violet MacKay. He graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1959 and attended Iowa State University.

He is survived by his mother, Violet (Kruse) MacKay, and his sister, Sharon (Robert) Metcalf, all of Spencerville, Ind.; and five nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove.
