THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Saturday, October 28, 2006.

Troy Allen McVey, 36, of Spicewood, Texas, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, of injuries sustained in a car accident. A memorial service celebrating Troy's life was held Oct. 13 in Marble Falls, Texas, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, where Troy and his family were members. It was a beautiful service where the family was surrounded with the love and support of each other and many loving friends.

Troy Allen McVey was born Sept. 24, 1970, in Fort Carson, Colo., to Gary Allen McVey and Linda Rae Evans Finnegan. He later lived in Ames and then in California. Troy married Chantal LeSage in September 1998. They lived in Palm Beach, Calif., before moving to Spicewood in 2004. Troy was an operations manager for TruGreen LandCare. He enjoyed being outdoors and his work in landscaping. He was a dedicated family man and loved spending time with them.

Troy is survived by his loving wife, Chantal; his children, Hunter, 5; Callie-Rae, 4; and Dawson, 1 1/2; his father and stepmother, Gary and Linda McVey, of Littleton, Colo., his sister, Kimberley McVey, of Colorado; his brother, Benjamin Finnegan, of Norwalk; maternal grandparents, Ray and Maxine Evans, of Osceola; and many friends, cousins and extended family.

Troy was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Linda Rae and Jerry Finnegan; and paternal grandparents, Owen and Virginia McVey.
