Jan. 25, 1944-Oct. 21, 2006

Linda Banks, 62, of Nevada, died Saturday, Oct. 21, at Story County Medical Center. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, at Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada. Burial will be at a later date in Nevada Municipal Cemetery.

Linda Banks was born Jan. 25, 1944, in Huxley, to Walter and Gladys Selda (Hill) Williams. She married Harley James Banks Feb. 1, 1964, in Maxwell. Harley preceded Linda in death on Dec. 31, 2003. She had worked as a nurse's aid until retiring due to health reasons. She was raised in Fjieldburg Lutheran Church at Huxley. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed the time she could be with them.

She is survived by two sons, Kevin Banks, of Nevada, and Joey Banks, of Ames; two daughters, Lisa Banks, of Zearing, and Tracy (Rick) Harms, of Colo; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four brothers, Dennis Williams, of Des Moines, Romain Williams and Max Williams, both of Huxley, and Terry Williams, of Ames; and three sisters, Sandra Banks, of Nevada, Judy Banks, of Stanhope, and Vicki Harmon, of Alleman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Dale and Herschel; and two sisters, Ilene and Wahnita.

Memorials may be made to the Linda Banks Memorial Fund.
