THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Saturday, October 14, 2006.
Francis (Frank) Eugene Geisler, 87, of Golden Valley, Minn., formerly of Nevada, died Thursday, Oct. 12, at Trevilla of Golden Valley Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, at the First United Methodist Church in Nevada with Pastor Steve Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery.
Frank was born March 3, 1919, in Mingo, Iowa, to Walter and Hazel Geisler. He married Wilma Hoel on March 18, 1941, in Nevada. Frank farmed and owned and operated many businesses over the years, including a plumbing and heating shop in Nevada, a county fair kids' train ride and, foremost, Geisler's Beef D'lite (Maid-Rite sandwich shop) in which he operated as many as five restaurants with his son, Rick.
Frank is survived by his daughter, Patricia (Dan) Miscko, of Minneapolis; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one brother, William Geisler, of Oregon.
Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma; parents; and a son, Rickey E. Geisler.
The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service time at the church.
Arrangements are entrusted to Kozlak-Radulovich Funeral Chapel in Minneapolis.
