Robert "Tiny" Dodd
ColoRobert "Tiny" Dodd, 61, died at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Sunday, Oct. 8. Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 13, at 10:30 a.m. at the Colo United Methodist Church. Burial at the Colo Cemetery.
Robert was born Jan. 16, 1945 in State Center to the parents of Lloyd and Verba (Nichol) Dodd. He was a Colo resident and he graduated from Baxter High School in 1963. He was a retired supervisor at Fisher Controls for over 30 years in Marshalltown.
Robert was a member of the Colo United Methodist Church and he had married Susan (Myers) Sept. 16, 1967 at the Colo United Methodist Church.
He is survived by three sons, Tony (Melissa) Dodd of Highlands Ranch, Colo., Jason (Kim) Dodd of Colo, Jeff (Lisa) Dodd of Lehigh Acres, Fla; six grandchildren, Tarynn Dodd, Keely Dodd, Hunter Dodd, Joshua Quick, Teeghan Dodd, Reece Dodd, with one grandchild to be born sometime this week. Also surviving is his father, Lloyd Dodd of Baxter, his mother-in-law, Mrs. Helen Branon of Colo. He was preceded in death by his mother and wife, Mrs. Susan Dodd Dec. 15, 2004.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 12, 5 to 8 p.m. at the Colo United Methodist Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Colo Fire and Rescue.
Fredregill Funeral Home in Zearing is handling the arrangements.
