Beverley Thomas Hill

Beverley Thomas Hill, 93, of the Madrid Nursing Home, Madrid, died Thursday, Sept. 7, 2006, at the Israel Family Hospice, Ames, Iowa.

He was born in Huxley, Iowa, on Dec. 24, 1912, the son of Clarence and Alice (Gord) Hill.

Survivors include two daughters, Nona (Phillip) Jordan and Phyllis Geer, both of Huxley; one brother, Clyde (Lois) Hill of Huxley; and five grandchildren, Jim (Sherry), Donald and Brian Jordan, and Scott and Chad Geer.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lily; and three brothers and one sister.

Visitation was from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday, September 10, 2006 at Fjeldberg Lutheran Church in Huxley. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 11, 2006 at Fjeldberg Lutheran Church in Huxley with the Rev. Donald Dovre of Palestine Lutheran Church in Huxley officiating. Burial was in the Fjeldberg Church Cemetery. Memorials are requested to Fjeldberg Lutheran Church. Soderstrum-Riis Funeral Home, 101 Benton St., Slater, IA, 515-685-4431, was in charge of arrangements.
