Thomas B. Keopple, 71, Dies At County Farm

Thomas Burton KEOPPLE, 71, formerly of St. Anthony and this city died suddenly at the Marshall county hospital early this Thursday morning. He had been in failing health for several years but his death was unexpected.

Mr. KEOPPLE was born Dec. 18, 1974 at Montour, the son of John and Elisabeth KEOPPLE. The family moved to St. Anthony when he was very young. On July 25, 1901, he married Phylena Jane PARKER at Maxwell, they resided in that neighberhood till 1918 when they moved to St.Anthony which was their home until they moved to this city about six years ago. Mr. KEOPPLE was a carpenter by trade.

Surviving beside his widow are five sisters, Mrs. Edna PETITHORY of Des Moines, Mrs. Addie MUSSHIEK and Mrs. Alta MAHLOW of Zearing, Georgeia KEOPPLE of Radcliffe and Mrs. Gail PETITHORY of Mowrystown, Ohio; three brothers, Ray of Zearing, Edmond, address unknown, and Lawrence, Denver, Col.; three sons, John KEOPPLE, Roswell, N.M., Paul KEOPPLE, , State Center, and Lee M. KEOPPLE, Marshalltown; one daughter, Mrs. George KURTS of Marshalltown, and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be here at the Estel Funeral home at 3 p.m. Saturday in charge of Rev.L.B. ----
