Nov. 21, 1946 - June 14, 2006
Robert (Bob) Neil Grady, 59, of Zearing, formerly of Ames and Nevada, died on Wednesday, June 14, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 19 at the First Assembly of God Church, 1325 Eighth St., in Nevada with Pastor Tom Poppe officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Memory Gardens in rural Nevada.

Bob was the son of Minnie (Craven) and Keith E. Grady. He was born in Boone on Nov. 21, 1946. Bob graduated from Ames High School in 1967 after attending schools in Melrose, Lovilia and Ogden. On Nov. 15, 1969, he married Jeanne Hodges of Nevada. Two sons, Nick and Brian, were born of this union.

Bob worked for Willey Ford in Nevada and Ames for more than 30 years. He enjoyed his family, was an avid camper and enjoyed antique tractor auctions. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Nevada.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne on Nov. 6, 1989, his parents, one brother, Dale McCoy, and four sisters, Shirley Jean Grady, Mary Anderson, Evelyn Grady Kruse and Etta Grady.

Bob is survived by his companion, Susie Perisho of Zearing; two sons, Nick Grady of Oskaloosa and Brian Grady and his wife Ashley of Ames; one grandson, Trayton of Ames; three sisters, Leone Sink of Edmond, Wash., Anselma Hermann of Alamo, Texas, and Carolyn Douglas and her husband, Clark, of Madrid; four brothers, Dean McCoy and wife, Juanita, of Ogden, DeWayne McCoy and wife, Dorothy, of Newton, Jim McCoy and wife, June, of Donna, Texas, and Jerry Grady and wife Nancy of Boone; brother-in-law, Walter Anderson of Ames; sister-in-law, Betty McCoy of Beaver; Susie's children, Bobby Perisho and wife Lacey and their children, Tyler, Taevin, Nash and Rebekka Phillips and son, Zachary; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held today with the family present from 1 to 3 p.m. at Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada. Memorials may be directed to the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames.
