DANIEL PARKER PASSES AWAY

Sunday evening about six o'clock Daniel PARKER passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Minnie HOLLAND. Mr. PARKER had been ailing for some time, but until about three weeks ago was not considered dangerously ill. Since that time, however, he has continued to decline and the end was not unexpected. Death was due to hardening of the artieries and sympathetic complications.

He was sixty-six years old, and with the exception of ten years' residence in Wyoming, had spent his entire life in Story county, having the distinction of being the first white person born in the county.

Four of the children were at the bedside when he passed away, O.W. and Chas. PARKER, Mrs. T.P.KOEPPLE and Mrs. Minnie HOLLAND. J.W. and David PARKER arrived Wednesday noon from Wyoming to be present at the funeral which will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the Presbyterian church.
