THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Tuesday, April 4, 2006.

Anna D. Hahn, 93, of Ames, died Saturday, April 1, at Northcrest Health Care Center in Ames. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Ames with Father Terry Rassmussen presiding. Burial will follow in Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Anna was born Aug. 22, 1912, at home in Valley Junction to Lawrence and Anna (Najewicz) Dvorak, (immigrants from Poland). She graduated from Valley Junction High School in 1929. She was a secretary at Wholesale Food Market and at Iowa State University in the College of Veterinary Medicine and the office of the vice president for academic affairs.

She married Harold Hahn Oct. 14, 1941. She was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church, St. Rita's Circle and Council of Catholic Women.

She is survived by one daughter-in-law, Sheila Hahn of Marion; three grandchildren, Deborah D. Hahn of Marion, Dugan D. Hahn of Virginia Beach, Va., and Linda J. Henecke of Hiawatha; and four great-grandchildren, Courtney and Austin Henecke and Aaron and Kathryn Hahn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1964; one son, Robert in 1997; two brothers, James and Lawrence Dvorak; and one sister, Mary Kingsley.

A visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church prior to the service.

Stevens Memorial Chapel of Ames is assisting the family with arrangements.
