Lyle William Cadman, 86, passed away at the Afton Care Center from a long illness. He was born August 18, 1918 in Moville, Iowa, the son of Leonard and Anna (Fulton) Cadman. He was united in marriage to Eva Warren on March 30, 1940 in Bethany, Missouri. He was a veteran of WWII having served with the Army. Lyle was a mechanic. He was a member of the Nevada Baptist Church and a former member of the American Legion Post Number 48 of Nevada. He enjoyed woodworking. He and Eva moved to Creston, Iowa in 2004.
He is survived by his wife, Eva, of Creston, Iowa; two sons: Edward Cadman of Nevada, Iowa and Michael Cadman of Oak Harbor, Washington; two daughters: Clareen Wood and Jean Swanson both of Creston, Iowa: 15 grandchildren and many great- and great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three granddaughters: Lyla, Eva, and DeAnn; five brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were held Monday at the Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada, Iowa. Burial was in the Ames Memorial Garden Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Nevada Baptist Church Building Fund. Bacon Funeral Home and Crematory in Nevada, Iowa handled arrangements.
