Arlen O. Hougland, 85, of Story City, died Jan. 28 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Feb. 1, at 1:30 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City. Burial will be in the Story City Cemetery.

Arlen is survived by his wife, Ellen, of Story City; two sons, Steven (Lynn) of Story City; and David (Cindy) of Rapid City, S.D.; six grandchildren; a brother, Herman, of Story City; and two sisters, Jeanette Thorsbakken and Irene Anderson, both of Story City.

Visitation will be Tuesday after 3 p.m. with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. at Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City.
