Evalena, daughter of W.I. and Emily TRIPP, was born in Ames, Story Co., Iowa, Oct. 30th, 1869, came to Nebraska with her parents in 1879. Received most of her education at the home school in this county generally known at the Mt. Pleasant. Taught several terms of school in Washington county. In 1892 was married to Jacob G. SELL, and moved with her husband and family to Jackson Co., this state, March 1st, 1897, and died March 10th, 1898. She was a kind companion and mother of two families of children and is greatly missed by all who knew her.
