THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, December 29, 2005.

Rose L. Lansing, 81, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, at Israel Hospice House in Ames. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, at Sundberg-Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Madrid. Burial will be in Squire Boone Cemetery, north of Luther.

Rose was born Nov. 30, 1924, near Madrid. She married Kenneth Lansing in 1945. For most of their married years, they lived near Luther. She worked as a federal grant accountant at Iowa State University before she retired in 1987

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Lansing; three children, J. Lee and wife, Kathy, Linda Quinn and Marylou Westbrook and husband, Jim; four grandchildren, David Lansing, Sarah Snyder-Strollo, Sam Quinn and Daniel Quinn; four great-grandchildren, Jason and James Lansing and Madilyn and Ryleigh Snyder-Strollo; as well as many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lucille Turner; two sisters, Elizabeth Cerise and June Lansing; one grandson, Matthew Lansing; and one great-grandson, Adam Lansing.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, at Sundberg-Kirkpatrick Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Israel Hospice House in Ames.
