THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Tuesday, December 20, 2005.

James F. Faga, 66, of Story City, died Monday, Dec. 19, at Bethany Manor in Story City. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, at Bethany Manor Chapel in Story City. Burial will be in Story City Cemetery.

Jim was born March 20, 1939, near Casey to Richard and Loretta (Lally) Faga. He married Evelyn Hoskins on Nov. 4, 1967. He was president and CEO of Central Iowa Mutual in Story City from 1978-2003. He was a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Ames and had served on numerous state and national insurance boards. His family was very important to him, and he was a fan of Iowa State.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn of Story City; two sons, Patrick (Rachel) and Joe (Amy) of Story City; two daughters, Beth Faga (Larry Meyer) of North Liberty and Angie Whetstone (Randy) of Gilbert; 12 grandchildren; and two sisters, Colleen Hurd of Huxley and Mary Jensen of Fontanelle.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jack Faga

Visition will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, at Bethany Manor Chapel in Story City. Memorials may be made to National Parkinson's Foundation or to Bethany Manor.

Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City is in charge of arrangements.
