Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Koon mourn the death of their two weeks old baby who died and was buried Monday, May 18th. The bereaved parents have the sympathy of the entire community.
Our darling is gone
And left us
He has left us
All alone.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Edward Koons (3 May 1896-17 May 1896) is buried in the St. Patrick's Cemetery in Nevada, Iowa. His stone is inscribed "SON OF G & S KOONS" who would be George B. Koons and Sarah (McNichols) Koons.
