OBITUARY
MRS. LARS SKEIE

Nora Othelia Nilsen, daughter of Knute and Bertha Nilsen, was born September 13, 1881, at Sand Stavanger, Norway, and died at her home near Story City, Iowa, Thursday, November 13, 1965. She was 84 years, 1 month, and 28 days old. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith in Sand, Norway.

She came to the United States in 1896 and worked in Des Moines, Iowa. On October 26, 1902, she was united in marriage to Lars H. Skeie at West Des Moines, Iowa.

She is survived by four daughters, Lyla Skeie, Story City, Iowa; Mrs. Howard Rude, Mrs. Leonard Nelson and Mrs. Clifford Soren, all of Ames, Iowa; two sons, Harvey and Kenneth both of Story City, Iowa; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Elim Lutheran Church, Randall for the last 63 years.

Funeral services were held at the Elim Lutheran, Randall, Iowa, Saturday, November 13, 1965 with the Rev. Quentin Quanbeck officiating, assisted by the Rev. A. J. Bringle, Delbert Quam soloist was accompanied by Mrs. Charles Anderson.

Pallbearers were Leon Skeie, Eugene Rude, Thomas Holm, Wendell Luing, Phillip Armstrong and Terry Van Cleave.

Burial was at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Randall, Iowa.
