ANDREW MINDEMANN DIES FOLLOWING LINGERING ILLNESS

Andrew H. (Shorty) Mindemann, 75, 205 Second St., i Gilbert, Iowa died at the Story City Memorial Hospital Monday, July 5, 1971 about 9:30 p.m. after a lingering illness.

Funeral services were held Thursday (today) July 8 from the Adams Funeral Home in Ames. The Rev. Paul S. Reque of Bethesda Lutheran church, Jewell was in charge. Burial was at the Gilbert Cemetery.

Mr. Mindemann was born August 31, 1895 in Harrison Township, Boone County. He farmed in that area until 1943 when he moved to Gilbert.

Mr. Mindemann was married to Clara Nell November 25, 1919. She preceded him in death December 31, 1947.

He was married to Martha Banks July 19, 1960.

Survivors include his wife, two sons, Rayong at home and Kenneth L. Mindemann, Gilbert; two daughters, Mrs. Leona Clouser, R. R. Ames and Mrs. Marjorie Sundberg, Eagle Grove; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Leininger, Mrs. Minnie Krejci and Mrs. Anna Hasstedt all of Boone; a step-daughter; a step-son; six grandchildren and a great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Marie Mindemann, three brothers, Carl, August and Louis.

A memorial fund has been established. Gifts may be given to the TB and Respiratory Disease Association.
