OLD PIONEERS PASS AWAY THIS WEEK.

Six Well Known People Answer To Death's Call The Past Few Days.

LOSS IS KEENLY FELT.

Majority of Deaths Are Due Chiefly To Old Age.

Miss Secelia Osmundson was born Sept. 6, 1846 in Imsland in Ryfylke, Norway and died in Story City, Thursday, March 24, 1904 having reached the age of 57 years, 7 months and 18 days. She has had poor health for about six months, although not seriously ill until a week or more before her death, when lung fever and other complications followed and she passed away on the date above mentioned.

She was married in 1871 to T. E. Holt and made her home in Vikedal, Norway until 1885 when their family moved to this country. They resided in Zenorsville 7 years, moving to Story City in 1892, having made this their home since that time. Mrs. Holt's death is the first break in the home circle and her loss will be most keenly felt by husband and children. She was a loving wife and mother and always succeeded in making the home pleasant and attractive. The husband five children, two sons and three daughters survive her. Her mother, three sisters and two brothers are living, two sisters and one brother living in this country.

The funeral services were held at the home Saturday, at 1:30 p. m. and in the St. Petri church at 2:00 o'clock conducted by Rev. Vangsness.
