TRI COUNTY TIMES, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, December 15, 2005.

Gladys Elnora Fleenor, of Cambridge, Iowa, was born December 4, 1916 in Haverhill, Iowa. She was the daughter of George Riley Curry and Emma Amanda Propp. On August 19, 1941, she married Ralph John Fleenor in Princeton, Missouri.

Gladys and Ralph farmed between Cambridge and Huxley before moving to Cambridge, where she resided until moving to Sunnyview Care Center in Ankeny. She was employed by Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames, Iowa for 13 years as a pediatric nursing assistant. She retired in 1978. Gladys enjoyed painting, gardening and sewing.

Survivors include her children, Danny Fleenor and Doneita Williams; sisters, Bess Wunn, Lucille (Harold) Dellit; three grandchildren, eight great-grandsons, and two great-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Emma Curry and her husband Ralph Fleenor.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 14, at Faith Baptist Church in Cambridge. Graveside services were held in Melbourne Cemetery following the service.

Ankeny Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
