Mrs. Gasaway, Gilbert, died

Mrs. Elizabeth Gasaway, 87, Gilbert, died at 7:45 a.m. today at a Nevada nursing home. She had been a patient there for several years.

Born in Pennsylvania, she came to Story County with her parents. She was married to William Gasaway at Boone in 1890.

Survivors include a son, Harry of Lehigh; four daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Olcazar of Dayton, Mrs. Amanda Jacobson and Mrs. Viola Anderson of Gilbert and Mrs. Blanche Stokka of Ames; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Gus Harris of Toledo, Ore.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from Stevens-Ross Funeral Home, with the Rev. Paul Reque of the Gilbert Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be made in the Gilbert Cemetery.

The body will lie in state Sunday afternoon and evening at the funeral home.
