Ruth Mae Zenor
SEPT. 20, 1930-JULY 12, 2002

Ruth Mae Zenor, 71, of Grundy Center, died Friday of heart failure during surgery at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames. Burial will be in Gilbert Cemetery.

Ruth Maw Zenor was born Sept. 20, 1930 in Boone County, the daughter of Cleo and Kathryn (Lee) Turner. She graduated from Gilbert High School. She married Harold Leroy Zenor Aug. 16, 1953, in Nashua. She also had lived in Mount Vernon and Mount Pleasant. She established Zenor Inc. and Zenor Specialty Gifts. She started preschools in Mount Pleasant and Grundy Center. She retired in 1995.

She is survived by two sons, Tracy Zenor of Grundy Center and Doug Zenor of Cedar Falls, one brother, Richard Turner of rural Boone and one sister, Kay Mortvedt of rural Story County.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames.

Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.

Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames is in charge of arrangements.
