Jessie Wilson Rites Held in Gilbert

The funeral of the late Miss Jessie Ethel Wilson was held in First Congregational church in Gilbert, Tuesday, Jan. 29th. Mrs. Helen B. Turner officiated. Burial was in the Gilbert cemetery.

Jessie Ethel, the daughter of Charles and Emma Wilson, was born in Gilbert, May 28, 1874, and passed away in the Story City hospital, after a lingering illness Jan. 26, 1952, at the age of 77 years, 7 mo., 29 days. She was educated in the rural schools and when she reached womanhood was very much interested in nursing, doing a wonderful work caring for the sick of the community. May 15th, 1891 she became a member of the First Congregational church of Gilbert and retained her membership until the time of her death. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one sister. She leaves to mourn her loss, one sister Mrs. Mayme Jenkins of Gilbert, one niece and one nephew, and a host of friends.
