MRS. CHARLES HAMILTON

Mrs. Charles Hamilton passed away Wednesday evening at 7:30 at her home, 811 Douglas ave., after a month's illness caused by a stroke of apoplexy.

Funeral service will be held Friday afternoon at two o'clock in the Adams chapel, with her pastor, Dr. LeRoy Burroughs, in charge.

Mrs. Hamilton was born Dec. 25, 1853, in Halifax, Vt., and came to Ames in 1888 as the widow of Maj. Beck. She was married to Captain Charles Hamilton 42 years. He died about two years ago after passing his 100th birthday.

Mrs. Hamilton is survived by two brothers, Merton E. Crosier of Ames, who with Mrs. Crosier cared for her in her illness, and Myron L. Crosier of Shelburne Falls, Mass.; and one sister, Mrs. Elsie L. May, of Long Meadow, Mass.
