Joyce A. Haugland, 57, of Clarion, IA, died on Tuesday night, Aug 4, 1992, at St Joseph Mercy Hospital in Mason City, IA. She suffered aneurysm earlier in the evening at her home.
Funeral services were held on Saturday morning at ten-thirty from the First Lutheran Church in Calrion. Rev. William Perkins officiated and burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery. The Willim Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Gary Brandt was the organist and Marilyn Janssen the vocalist. Casket bearers were her four sons, David, Robert, Steven and Brian. Honorary bearers were: Tim Cord, Ray Shaw, Craig Bobst, Denny Soraa and Gregg Herberg.
Joyce was born at Ames, IA, on Nov 10, 1934 and was the daughter of Ralph and Opal Kitchen Warren. She was raised in Ames and graduated from high school there in 1952. On May 27, 1953 she married Dale L. Haugland in Ames. Dale was in the Air Force and they lived in Spokane, WA. After the service they lived 5 years in Ames. In 1962 they moved to Clarion. Since 1986 she had been active helping Dale with their photography business, Country Reflections, in Holmes, IA.
Survivors include her husband, Dale, four sons, David of Albert Lea, MN, Robert of North Pole, AK, Steven and Brian, both of Clarion and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Joyce was a member of First Lutheran Church. She was a past member of the Clarion Federated Women. She enjoyed playing bingo.
