Myrtle McCreight
Myrtle McCreight, 90, of Greeley, Colorado, formerly of Story City, died Sunday, Oct. 9, 1994 at Centennial Health Care Center in Greeley, Colorado of complications due to cancer. Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 13 at 10:30 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church in Story City with Rev. Ray Hampton officiating. Burial was in Center Cemetery near Story City.
Myrtle Matheason was born Jan. 4, 1904 in Story City to Marious and Anna (Jensen) Matheason. On Nov. 4, 1930, she married Arthur McCreight. She was a homemaker and a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She lived in Story City until moving to Colorado in 1985.
Immediate survivors include two sisters, Rose Lykins and Blanche Hanson, both of Story City; one brother, Victor Matheason of Ames; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Stearns of Cypress, California and William J. Wolfe of Windsor, Colorado; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Marcella Wolfe (who passed away on Aug. 26, 1994), three sisters, Mae Doolittle, Amanda Hendrickson and Florence Klann, and five brothers, Sam, Alvin, Albert, Andrew and Nels Matheason.
