Mrs. Aletta Christianson [sic, Christenson], 82, of 2325 East Third street, died Thursday in a Superior hospital. She was born Jan. 22, 1877 in Story City, Iowa, and resided in LaPorte, Minn., before moving to Superior 14 years ago. Mrs. Christianson was a member of Zoar Lutheran church. Surviving are a son, Newton K. Birt, Superior; three step-sons, Carl Christianson, Long Beach, Calif.; Arthur Christianson, South Range, and Floyd Christianson, Superior; six step-daughters, Mrs. Emil Hanson, Iron River; Mrs. Hazel Sheldon, Nakoma Gardens, and Mrs. Matt Madsen, Mrs. LaVerne Michaelson, Mrs. Vernon Aspinwall and Mrs. Emmett Avery, Surperior; three brothers, Christ Peterson, Bemidji; Clarence, Duluth, and Peter A., Park Rapids, Minn.; two sisters, Mrs. Christine Johnson, Yorkville, Ill., and Mrs. Inga Witt, Council Bluffs, Iowa; 21 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
