MRS. KNUTE MUNSON PASSES AWAY AT VERONA, WISC. ON NOVEMBER 28

Mrs. Knute (Louise) Munson was born January 29, 1878 at Morris, Illinois. At the age of one year she moved with parents Mr. and Mrs. Ole Wicks to a farm near Herscher, Ill. and was confirmed in the Grand Prairie Lutheran church at Herscher.

In 1895 the family moved to a farm in Wright County, Iowa, that fall she attended school at Humboldt College and taught school several terms in the rural schools in Wright County.

In 1916 she was united in marriage to Knute Munson of Belmond, Iowa. To this union two sons were born, Milton Orlean, St. Paul, Minnesota and Raymond Jay of Verona, Wis.

Surviving are the two sons Milton and Raymond; three brothers, Cryder Wicks of Kanawha, Iowa, Herman Wicks of Rogue River, Oregon and Melvin Wicks Lewistown, Montana. She was preceded in death by her husband Knute in 1953; two sisters, Mrs. Elma Wierson and Mrs. Bertha Olson.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran church, Story City, Iowa.

She died November 28, 1969 at the Four Winds Manor at Verona, Wisconsin.

Services were held from the Immanuel Lutheran church in Story City, December 2, 1969 at 2 p.m. The Rev. C. A. Gisselquist was in charge.

Mrs. Robert Hermanson sang "My Help Is Built On Nothing Less" and "Jesus, Keep Me Near the Cross" accompanied by Mrs. Harold Olson at the organ.

Pallbearers were Robert Caddock, Herman Wicks, Lawrence Jacobson, William Starkey, Henry Thorsbakken and Isaac Brown.

Burial was at the Story City Municipal Cemetery.
