SHERMAN I. LARSON

Sherman I. Larson was born June 21, 1896 to Samuel Lewis Larson and Ella Erickson and died Tuesday, October 10th at the local hospital after a heart attack. He was 68 years old. He was baptized and confirmed in St. Petri Lutheran, Story City.

Sherman was united in marriage to the former Mabel Swenson December 23rd, 1922. They farmed in this area until 1961 when they moved to Story City.

Mr. Larson is survived by his wife, Mabel; one son, Herbert; a daughter Ellen (Mrs. Arlen Hougland) all of Story City. Four brothers, Theodore and W. N. Larson of Story City; Ingram of Ames, and Lester, New Kensington, Penn.; three sisters, Anna, Mrs. Thomas Johnson, Gladys, Mrs. Bervin Johnson, both of Story City and Ruth Larson of Des Moines; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, October 23, at 2 p. m. from the St. Petri Lutheran church. The Rev. George Strum was in charge. Mrs. Joel Jacobson was organist. Kenneth Peterson and Joel Ose sang. Pallbearers were William Richardson, John Caltvedt, Arnold Erickson, Arthur Nelson, Gifford Erickson and Albert Mathre. Burial was at the Story City Memorial Cemetery.
