THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Friday, November 25, 2005.

Danny Davis Kromminga, 39 of Nevada, died Saturday, Nov. 19. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at First Christian Church with Pastor Brice Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Collins.

Dan was born on March 12, 1966, in the Azores Islands at LaHavis Field to Russell and Gloria (Richardson) Kromminga. He married JoAnn Flett Oct. 26, 1991, at Central Presbyterian Church in Nevada. He was employed as a plumber for Polk County Heating and Cooling in Ankeny. He was a member of the Central Iowa Underwater Search & Rescue Team and a former volunteer of the Nevada Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Kromminga of Nevada; one son, Coner Kromminga at home; his father, Russell Kromminga of Carson, Calif.; two brothers, Rusty Kromminga of Storm Lake and Bobby Kromminga of Torrance, Calif.; four sisters, Mary Beach of Oskoda, Mich., Christy Kromminga of Nevada, Sharie Kromminga of Rockford, Ill., and Lisa Kromminga of Oceanside, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria, in January 2000.

Visitation will be today with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada.

A memorial fund has been established.
