THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Tuesday, November 22, 2005.

A. Duncan Scott, 84, of Batavia, Ill., and formerly of Ames, died Saturday, Nov. 12. A private family service was Thursday, Nov. 17.

Duncan was a professor in the Agronomy Department at Iowa State University from 1950 through 1990. He moved to Batavia in 2002.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; three children, Robert (Nancy) Scott, James (Muriel) Scott and SusanWeber (Eric Claeys); and four grandchildren, Ben (Staci) Scott, Brittany Scott, Kevin Claeys and Keith Claeys.

In memoriam, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
