OBITUARY
GLADYS TRESSLER JOHNSON
Gladys Tressler Johnson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Tressler, was born on a farm two and 1 half miles west of Story City on May 4, 1898, and passed away at her home on May 27, 1959, at the age of 61 years and 23 days.
On May 4, 1920, she was united in marriage to Grant I. Johnson. Two children were born to this union; namely, Iva Jean (Mrs. William Brattebo of Des Moines) and Ardis of Story City. As a family they lived for a period of time on a farm west of Story City and had resided here ever since. Preceding her in death were her husband, Grant, her mother, father and one grandchild.
She leaves to mourn her passing two children, Iva Jean and Ardis; one brother, Maurice Tressler of Marshalltown, Ia., and five grandchildren.
Services were conducted from Grace Church with the Rev. C. R. Ziettlow in charge. Mrs. Luther Matson and Mrs. Leslie Hoffman, accompanied by Mrs. Dorrell Doolittle, furnished the music. Casket bearers were: Fred Hendrickson, Horner Jackson, Burnice Jacobson, Lewis Larson, Guy Johnson and Roy Gaard. Burial was in Story City Municipal Cemetery.

We wish to express our sincere thanks to our friends, relatives and neighbors who comforted and helped us with acts of kindness, flowers and memorial gifts, in the recent death of our beloved mother, Mr. and Mrs. Ardis Johnson and family and Mr. and Mrs. William Brattebo and family.
