Dr. Campbell Coyle Passes Away In Los Angeles Home
Word reached Nevada today of the death at Los Angeles, Calif., on Saturday of Dr. Campbell Coyle, 80, earlier day pastor of Central Presbyterian church here. Leaving Nevada he held prominent pastorates at Pittsburgh, Penna., Duluth, Minn., Los Angeles, Boulder, Colo., as well as other large cities. Funeral rites and burial will be held in Los Angeles.
Campbell Coyle, native of Canada, where he was born March 4, 1861, began his ministerial work in Nevada, shortly after being ordained and held the pulpit of the Central Presbyterian church. During his early pastorate here, he was married, but his brie lived only a short time and he was later married to Miss Olive Greenawalt.
Two sons were born to them and one of these, Cameron Coyle, now of Los Angeles, with Mrs. Coyle, survives the husband and father.
Dr. Coyle was a very talented man and held some of the very best pulpit in the country. After retiring from active ministerial work, he and Mrs. Coyle returned to Nevada, and made their home here for a few years, returning to Los Angeles about six years ago.
